ABC Matching Game

Now that June is almost over reality is beginning to set in....School is right around the corner! I know July is slam-packed for us, so August will be here before I know it! I decided it was time to get to work on activities for the beginning of school. Today's creation is an ABC review game. I found these cute graphics from Lettering Delights, and they worked perfectly for this game! I hope the kids like it!

Higher level students can use the recording sheets to try and spell the matches they find. For lower level students you can reduce the amount of matches and separate consonants and vowels. All vowels matches use the long vowel sound. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer break! :)

Disney World 2012

Our trip to Disney World has come and gone! And boy was it fun! We stayed at the Saratoga Springs Resort in Disney World in an awesome villa. (Thanks to some over bookage! :) I really think I could have spent the entire vacation lounging around the resort.

We did four days in the parks and saw lots of characters! Here are a few...

Each day we went to a different park. Animal Kingdom was our favorite!

One night we went to see a the electrical parade. I felt like a four year old when I saw Cinderella. She is my favorite!

Sunday was spent at Magic Kingdom. We decided everyone had to ride "It's a Small World". About 10 minutes into the ride, the boat stopped. (BUT NOT THE MUSIC OR THE CRAZY DANCING DOLLS!) We were stuck on the boat for 30 minutes. Needless to say when we go back with our future kids, we will NOT ride that again. I am still singing the song!

We spent our last night at the Boardwalk. So much fun! We ate some great food and saw some fun street performers. I can't wait to go back!

Her Royal Highness

Well my first full week of summer is winding down. :) I would say it has been a successful week off! I was able to go back to the gym, create a few new activities for the start of school, and soak up some sun! Man I LOVE summertime! My mother-in-law (Her Royal Highness) started this 5k kick about 2 years ago. We started off just walking, but now our goal is to run. HRH has worked so hard to pick up her speed and her hard work has FINALLY paid off! I'm am proud to say that she won 2nd place in her age group this weekend and achieved a personal best 5k time! Way to go!

We are so proud of her! (But not as proud as she is!)
